CLASS of 2010 GRADUATION
3 June

It's June again; the year's sped by and things are winding down.
All eleven have assembled here in graduation gown.
In case you don't remember what a great group they have been,
I'll give a quick overview of the class of 2010:

Jordan's been at this school for many years, it’s true.
He's led Student Council, excelled at Science Fair, too.
At Cameron he practiced target shooting with some rubberbands.
But at the airport it was his army knife that was seized as contraband.

Bennett likes football, the Lakers, and bacon.
Without rice in Arizona, his heart was nearly breakin'.
He was fastest in the Fun Run and up and down the dunes,
And eagerly joined in the action that filled our afternoons.

Connor loves comedy but was a regal May Day king,
And it's no joke he's salutatorian 'cuz he's no ding-a-ling.
In his 10 years at our school he's grown tall; his voice is deep.
When he crashed his bike into Tom's, he didn't even weep.

Tainoa is quick-witted and is the master in the Gum Hall of Fame.
For hiking, swimming, snow, and drumming, he's definitely game.
He jump ropes with our Book Buddies and does the hula hoop.
When we mountain biked at Bell Rock, he finished with the faster group.

Destiny has shined this year as the one girl on the team.
She was beautiful as Mary and graceful as our queen.
Though the water was cold at Slide Rock, that didn't make her pout.
Without a compass in survival skills she figured directions out.

Michael, our valedictorian, also won the Chaplain's Prize.
He's responsible, inquisitive, always gives his best tries.
In snow batting he smashed the snowballs right to smithereens,
And his Boy Scout skills served him well on Kids vs. Wild teams.

Matthew likes computer games and getting work done fast.
While mountain biking he was the first to spot a snake slide past.
In the van he played card games and listened to some tunes,
And after toasting marshmallows, he burned his schoolwork to ruins.

Noah’s often laughing and likes to joke around.
He cooked us BBQ chicken, eggs, and pancakes by the mound.
He can really throw a football, and at skipping rocks he's champ,
In the desert he searched for arrowheads to bring back to our camp.

Vincent is a surfer and won our class Geography Bee.
He ended up missing May Day because he was not fever-free.
For our class trip to Arizona he won the lightest packer award.
Get him and Trav together and they're never ever bored.

Travis likes reading, chips, computer games, and action.
In the Bay he pulled seaweed without a distraction.
He was tops in our spelling bee, loud in the jeep,
And at Coal Mine his shoes were more filled with sand than feet.

Tom loves reading and soccer, and showed his stuff in the spelling bee.
He can work his magic on even the most shy Book Buddy.
At Christmas he was Joseph, and in May, the Golden Hawk.
At Oak Creek he earned most style points for his jump off the rock.

Now these eleven have spread their wings and are poised to fly.
We know the time they've spent with us will help them to soar high.
And so we wish them sunny days filled with success and friends,
And blessings enough to fill the sky that before them now extends.

Happy Graduation!
