Welcome to Mrs. Salazar's Art Class
Holy Nativity School offers a standards based art program which includes Drama as well as Visual Arts. Each student is given the opportunity to experiment with different techniques and mediums while also learning the technical elements of art. Art is also a wonderful way to learn about the artistic traditions of different cultures. The creative process and the effort put forth in creating art work are valued more than the preconceived expectation of the final product . Students develop a love and appreciation of art in a safe, non-judgmental environment. Drama lessons are designed to help students improve their communication skills and problem solving skills. Students also develop an understanding of how art and drama can help them communicate ideas, feelings, and experiences.
