Since 1950, Holy Nativity School has celebrated May Day with Hōʻike—a beloved tradition where students share their learning of Hawaiian culture, music, hula, and history. We’re excited to welcome our entire HNS community to this year’s celebration!

We’re excited to welcome you to Holy Nativity School’s annual Hōʻike—a joyful celebration of Hawaiian culture, music, hula, and history. This beloved tradition brings our entire school community together in spirit and song, and we can’t wait to share this special day with you.

Through mele and hula, they honor what grounds and grows us—who we are, where we come from, and where we’re headed. We also uplift the values that shape our school:

ʻOhana • Aloha • Kuleana • Laulima • Lōkahi • Mālama • Hoʻokipa • Haʻahaʻa

Reminder: Early dismissal will follow Hōʻike.

Here's the scoop for Hō‘ike!

Mark your calendars for Friday May 1st, at 8:30am.

This event is open to everyone in our Holy Nativity community - so bring family, friends and loved ones to our incredible campus. Seating is limited, and is first come, first served. All guests should enter through the church gates and find seating in the courtyard under the tent.

Parking: Please park on Osco Field (Mauka Campus). Attendants will assist you.

Early Dismissal: School will dismiss immediately after Hōʻike. There is no After School Care that day.

Lū‘au orders DUE April 24

Immediately after the Hō`ike, join us for fellowship, food, and fun on the Pre-K lanai and playground. Purchase an ‘ono lunch from Uncle Glenn's, and enjoy time with our community.

Bring your own blankets, chairs, etc. to picnic. Families must supervise their children on the playground.

We need YOUR help!

Have greenery and flowers at home? Like to decorate? We would appreciate help with donations, decorations, and more!

It takes a village to magically transform our campus for Hō‘ike! Join us in preparing for one of the best days of the year at Holy Nativity School.

We need donations of tropical greenery and flowers (click the link below for more detailed information), plus YOUR help in creating kahili, making lei, and decorating our campus.

It's a wonderful opportunity for fellowship on campus as we work together to prepare for Hoike!
